Choose the right container
20-foot standard
A compact dry container for a smaller full-container shipment, dense cargo, or a vehicle and other goods where the loading plan allows.
40-foot standard
Offers more floor length and volume for larger household or commercial shipments.
40-foot high cube
Similar floor area to a standard 40-foot unit, with extra internal height for taller cargo.
Typical internal dimensions
All measurements below are examples in millimetres (mm). The length × width × height figures refer to the inside of the container. Door opening is narrower and lower than the internal space.

How to plan your shipment
Record the outside length, width, height and weight of each large item, crate or pallet. For a vehicle, include mirrors, roof accessories and any protrusions.
Share your UK collection or loading location and destination country and port, plus whether you need a full container or are sending individual items.

Special equipment and oversized cargo
Open-top and flat-rack containers may be considered for cargo that cannot fit through a standard dry container door. Suitability, dimensions, permitted weights, handling and availability are specific to the cargo and route. Please contact us with detailed measurements and photos for an individual assessment rather than relying on a standard-container chart.
