How we work out a box quotation

Measure the outside length, width and height of every packed box in metres. Multiply those figures to find its volume in cubic metres (m³). A box measuring 1.00 × 0.45 × 0.80 m has a volume of 0.360 m³. The applicable destination rate and any collection or handling charge determine the final quote. Do not assume that one destination’s rate applies to Jamaica.

Collection and current sailings

We collect throughout the UK. Give us your collection postcode so we can confirm the fee; collection within the M25 has a fixed fee shown in your quotation, while locations outside the M25 are quoted individually. Collections must be arranged in time for the confirmed closing date.

Our Jamaica planning information refers to a regular sailings, but vessel dates, space and arrival estimates can change. Check the latest sailing schedule with our team before you pack for a deadline. The sailing date and estimated arrival are different from the date we collect your boxes.

Pack and label your boxes

1. Choose strong, dry cartons and tape every seam securely.
2. Wrap fragile items separately, fill gaps and avoid overloading.
3. Write the sender and recipient details clearly on each box and number a multi-box shipment, such as 1 of 3.
4. Keep an itemised contents list for each carton, and ask us before sending restricted or unusual items.
5. Share your recipient’s local phone number and confirm the handover instructions for Kingston.
